Interviewed by: Richard Luo*22 “When I first auditioned [for Children’s Chorus of Greater Dallas, Ms. Nott] was the first person from the choir that I had ever met. She works so hard...Every single day, you could tell that her passion for music and teaching was manifested in everything that she did. She made music that much better for me, and she was an incredible teacher. Ms. Nott is not like someone you would consider normal or basic; she has a lot of qualities that make her stand out. She's very outspoken and unafraid to say what she needs to say. She really takes the time to get to know everyone, and she has just a perfect balance of being strict and hardworking but knowing how to have a good time.”

Interviewed by: Phoebe Ngyuen“My role models are my best friends. They make me want to be a better person. They always support me, and I support them back. We’re figuring out everything together as we go, ... getting to know each other better. All my friends and I are honest, and we tell each other our problems. None of us are perfect at all.”
Interviewed by: Lela Miller“My goals of college and what I what to do in the future has changed throughout the years and the people I have been around. My first goal was to get into college through a sport, but I realized later that I did not want to do that. I loved sports, I played soccer for ... seven years ..., and then I started rowing crew for four years and I realized that after a few injuries and really pursuing art on a deeper level, I realized that it was more my place; it was what I loved to do. My parents are definitely my role models because they have been very respectful and encouraging of my passions and my drives. My dad thankfully has an eye for art, and I’m an artist, so that has helped him respect my passion with his own passions. Their supportiveness and their ability to collaborate [are my favorite things about them]. They’ve been able to work with [my sister and I] to propel [us] into what we want to do in life.”
Interviewed by: Christina Healy“My role model is my mom. She’s raised me to be the person who I am [today] and [has been] there for me, setting an example for what I aim to be like and how I should present myself to the world. If she wasn’t around today, I don’t think I would be the person I am today because of how much of a role she has in my life and raising me. My mom is very hardworking, and she inspires me to try and be like her. She works hard for what she wants and I try to take after her in that matter. She’s also really curious and open to learning new things, whether they be math equations or cultures. She is incredibly successful and is on top of everything she does and I think that’s really [admirable]. She’s my mom, she’s always been my role model and my entire life I’ve looked up to her and the work she’s done and the person she’s shaped me to be. She is amazing. I’m so thankful to have her in my life.”
